What I'm Listening To | Broods

Dear Broods, I LOVE YOU.

I'm such a sucker for a great duo and Broods is just that. Actually, they're beyond great. They're AMAZING. Why oh why has it taken me so long to discover you?! Hailing from New Zealand, this brother/sister duo has been owning my Spotify playlists for weeks and it's been beautiful. Georgia Nott has the voice of an angelic goddess (I don't know if that's a thing, but I've made it one). Did I mention they're both ridiculously attractive? Seriously, like nobody is that beautiful. Everytime they Instagram they should totally #blessed because that whole family must be like gorgeous.

The duo's self-titled debut album is available now on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify or wherever you get your music. I HIGHLY suggest that if you have Spotify you take a listen to their session. It will melt your heart. SO MANY FEELS.

CHOKER NECKLACES.

Nope, you aren't seeing things. That is a tattoo choker necklaces that everyone from Kate Moss to the Spice Girls to your next door neighbor was rocking in the 90's. This image isn't from the 90's though. It's from freaking Topshop's website TODAY as in August 20, 2014. Seriously, here is the link: http://bit.ly/VEgFeo. Even better, it's freaking $12! Remember when these things used to come out of machines at Chuck E. Cheese where you only paid like 50 cents to play? WTF?! Someone please tell me why these are back and why they are expensive and WHY, WHY, WHY? I don't get it. I hate it. I don't want one. I don't want to see them on anyone. DUMB. There is nothing attractive about a thin piece of plastic around your neck that will leave an ugly imprint which you will see if it moves the slightest on your neck or you take it off because it's freaking annoying. OMG enough! I'm all for normcore and bring back some of this 90's stuff, BUT NO, NO, NO. Whoever brought these back, YOU CAN GO SHAVE YOUR BACK NOW.

I've been re-watching How I Met Your Mother for the zillionth bazillonth time. Seriously, I'm pretty sure I know every line to every episode by this point. Do I feel shame? Heck no! I'm proud through and through. Since I'm currently watching as I type this post, this week's Tuesday Ten is HIMYM inspired. Don't worry, I won't be giving you any spoilers just incase you already don't watch this amazing show which is extremely disappointing and you should be probably get on Netflix right now to watch it. Well, right after you read this post of course :) Without further ado...

Ten Things I Learned from Ted Mosby

1. "When it's after 2am, just go to sleep. Because the decisions you make after 2am are the wrong decisions."

HAHA, I know I'm hilarious! JK, what a corny blog post title but for realz... HI!

I've left and came back more times than I can count on one hand. If failing at blogging was a thing, I would win every single time. Wait, can you win at failing? Is that a thing? Oh well, just made it one. BAM. 

This girl graduated college (woohoo!), did some internships and is now on the PROWL for a job. Yeah, I said prowl. Public relations is all I've wanted to do for my entire life. I knew I wanted to work in public relations before I even knew what public relations really was. Basically, I'm not really willing to settle for any old job. I'm 22 years young (almost 23 when apparently nobody is going to like me anymore), have super supportive & amazing parents that will let me live here forever (seriously, they will but no way is that happening) and I am never going to be this young or this free again in my life - so why settle for anything less than what I want? Now, obviously I know I'm not going to get my dream job right out of college because that would be crazy! I can get something in my field that will give me loads of great experience and hopefully, I'll enjoy because as the saying goes "if you love what you do, you won't work a day in your life". Anyways, end random tangent!

Let's get into why I'm here, what I'm going to do and the real question on everyone's mind (aka Rachel who is probably the only one reading this) - will I actually keep up this blog?! My track record sucks BUT maybe thousandth time is a charm? ;) I'm here because I've always wanted to be here. Even when I didn't do the best job of showing it, this is where I wanted to be. I wanted to be blogging and rambling on about my love for toast with peanut butter and bananas (YUM) or all the trends I HATE (stay tuned for WTF?! Wednesdays). Now on to the what I'm going to do here part - WHATEVER I WANT! Seriously. I'm going in blind, no plans, no intentions - just going. Expect the unexpected? And when it comes to keeping up with this blog, hopefully I do and hopefully you keep up with me! I mean, people still keep up with Kardashians and they've become... we'll save it for another rant.

So if you've been here before and have experienced my crazy, unable-to-commit self - nice to see you again. If you're new, welcome to rippedjeansandvinyl!
